Overview of processing activities
This website collects personal data exclusively within the scope of the following processing activities: provision of the website and creation of server log files, handling of enquiries submitted via the contact form, and abuse prevention through rate limiting. Apart from a technically necessary cookie for storing the selected language, no cookies are set, no tracking is used, and no analytics tools are employed.
Legal bases
The processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The respective legal bases are specified for each processing activity. Where processing is based on a legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR), this is stated accordingly.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When the website is accessed, the host automatically records information in so-called server log files transmitted by the browser. This includes in particular the IP address, date and time of access, pages accessed, the browser and operating system in use, and the referrer URL.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of the website (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).
Retention period: Server log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. This is usually the case after 30 days at the latest.
A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner Online GmbH. The server location is in Germany.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, the following information is collected: name, email address, and message. All fields are required in order to process and respond to your enquiry. Without this information, the enquiry cannot be sent. The data is used exclusively to handle your enquiry and is forwarded to the operator by email. The data is not stored on the server beyond transmission. It remains with the email service provider (see below) in accordance with its retention periods.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR), where the enquiry is directed at concluding a contract.
Delivery of contact enquiries
The service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) is used to deliver messages received via the contact form. In doing so, name, email address, and message are transmitted to Resend.
Resend is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), ensuring an adequate level of data protection for the transfer of data to the USA. In addition, a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in the reliable delivery of contact enquiries (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).
Rate limiting
To protect the contact form from abuse, the sender's IP address is temporarily stored in the server's memory. This data is used exclusively to limit the request frequency and is automatically deleted after 30 minutes at the latest. It is not stored permanently and is never shared with third parties.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in protection against misuse (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).
Language preference cookie
A strictly necessary cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) is set to store the language selected by the user. The cookie contains only the value "en" or "de" and enables the website to be displayed in the chosen language on subsequent visits. No personal data is processed.
Legal basis: Strictly necessary for operating the language selection explicitly requested by the user (§ 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG); legitimate interest in providing a consistent user experience (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).
Retention period: The cookie is stored for up to 12 months, or until the user deletes it.
SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons. An encrypted connection can be recognised by the prefix "https://" in the browser address bar. When SSL/TLS encryption is active, transmitted data cannot be read by third parties.
